In middle of September, the tender of Zibo Urban Planning Exhibition opened. Nine top exhibition firms finally turned out at the tender opening, after a full busy month opreparing design proposal and bidding documents. Among these are Ablues Design, China Crystal CG, China Gvitech Technologies, Suzhou He's, Shanghai Thisway Exhibition Service, etc.. They are all top competitive in the category of urban planning exhibitions. Skyline Exhibitions, inspite of the fact of being in existence for only three years and being the 1st time to participate such high-level competition after being certified as Grade 1 exhibition engineering firm, has won the 1st place with overwhelming superiority.

Located in the middle part of Shandong Province, Zibo is an important transportation hub. Zibo governs 5 districts (Zhangdian, Zichuan, Boshan, Zhoucun and Linzi) and each of these districts has a distinct downtown area of their own. As the birthplace of Qi Culture and because of the abundant nature resources, it is an excellent tourist city in China. Manufacturing industry holds an important place of the city's economy and of course it has contributed a lot not only to the city itself but also to the whole country since the founding of New China. Some people associate Zibo with ceramics sometimes due to its powerful forces in ceramics manufacturing. Zibo enjoys fame as of Famous Industrial City, Capital of the Ceramics Production Base and City of Petrochemical Industry. After one hundred years of development, Zibo has a solid industrial foundation. The dominant industries are: petrochemical industry, pharmaceuticals, metallurgy, building materials, machinery and textile, etc. High and new-technology industries, such as new materials, fine chemicals, electronics and information, and biological medicines, are developing rapidly.

Urban planning exhibition almost become a "standard configeration" of a city in China nowadays, most of whcih become kind of modular combination. To avoid this phenomenon, Skyline's task team has made indepth study of Zibo City, its history, its city features, architecture, and the building of the exhition hall. The final proposal of the space concept turns out very simple in style, elegant and magnificent in the overall impression.
