Before starting the real design, the team read much background data and reference material, among which two has moved the team so much as to arouse much passion into the design: 1)the people, both professionals and volunteers, overcame many difficulties to work in the border areas of Xinjiang, and 2) those naive and innocent children whom we sao via the photo.

Yarkand, situated along the Yerqiang River, is a key agricultural county with large population in the southern part of Karshgar Prefecture. It is one of the four counties which receive support from Shanghai. To better display the development history of Yarkand County, the Achievements made so far and the future plan, the local government decides to build its Urban Planning Exhibition Hall, via the help of Shanghai. Skyline is luckily in the inviting list to provide design proposal.
